Emerald Lake homes were built around the Emerald Lake Golf Club from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s.  The builders were a variety of custom builders plus Shea Homes, a semi-custom builder.

You'll find a variety of home styles and sizes in the Emerald Lake neighborhood.  Its homes have full-brick or stone and brick exteriors.  If you are looking for exquisite European styling, some of the community's custom homes will appeal to you.  All homes come with luxury interiors and executive finishes.  You can find ranches as well as three-story and basement homes as well.

The Courtyards at Emerald Lake is a new active adult 55+ community adjacent to the Emerald Lake neighborhood.  It is not part of original Emerald Lake and does not share amenities with the community.

Emerald Lake home values have risen since 2018.  The median sales price in January 2023 was $620,000, an increase of 47.6% over 2018.  The largest increases occurred between 2021 and 2023.

The number of home sold each year since 2018 ranged from 11 to 20.  The months supply of homes for sale tells us whether Emerald Lake is a buyers market or a sellers market.  Generally, five to seven months supply is considered a balanced market.  Fewer than five months supply is a sellers market.  The table at the left shows that Emerald Lake was in a balanced market in 2018 but by January 2023 was in a severe sellers market.

The Emerald Lake homeowners association provides maintenance of common areas including a fenced playground with picnic shelter.   Annual dues in 2023 are $220.

You'll love the convenient location of this neighborhood.  Located off Lawyers Road in the Stevens Mill area, the community is just minutes from an interchange of I-485.  You can walk to Stevens Mill Crossing, a community shopping center with grocery, gas station, several restaurants and service businesses.

Emerald Lake lies within the Town of Stallings.  Residents pay Stallings and Union County property taxes.  The quaint towns of Mint Hill and Matthews are nearby providing additional shopping and entertainment options.
